Jennifer Stone is all smiles as she serves as Grand Marshal for the 2011 Miracle on 136th Street Holiday Parade on Saturday (November 19) in Miami, Fla.

The 18-year-old actress tweeted after the event, “Had so much fun at The Falls Miracle on 136th Street parade! Thank you Miami for having me! I had so much fun meeting everyone.”

The Miracle on 136th Street Holiday Parade included local marching bands, bag pipers, stilt walkers, a junkanoo band, mariachi bands, Brazilian dancers, vintage cars, a Dixieland Band, local dignitaries, internationally recognized costumed characters, celebrities and more.

The parade also benefited the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education, an innovative learning, teaching and training initiative dedicated to elevating the quality of early care and education in Miami-Dade and beyond.

In the episode, “Harperella,” after Harper (Stone) begins to read one of Alex’s (Selena Gomez) wizard storybooks, she is transported into a Cinderella-like world where she encounters her evil stepmother Theresa (Maria Canals-Barrera) and stepbrothers Justin (David Henrie) and Max (Jake T. Austin). In order to turn back into Harper, she must rely on the help of Alex, her fairy godmother.

Jennifer chatted exclusively with JJJ and told us that even though she got to play a Cinderella-like character in the episode, her personal favorite fairytale character is Belle from Beauty and the Beast!

“Beauty and the Beast was my end all as a kid,” Jennifer said, “I liked that she was a strong woman. She was a book nerd. She wasn’t just the swooning princess. She didn’t have to be taken care of.”

Jennifer Stone is a beauty in black as she arrives at the premiere of In Time held at Regency Village Theatre on Thursday night (October 20) in Westwood, Calif.

JJJ recently caught up with the 18-year-old actress and wanted to know what else she’s been up to in the acting world.

Jen shared, “”The Disney thing was such a blessing, but it was something I probably never would’ve done. It was kind of a detour, but a really great one. I did a lot of drama before, so I’d love to get back to that.”

“I’m a big fan of indie movies and a lot of great television right now. I’m auditioning and I just want to play characters that I find challenging, fascinating and as diverse as possible,” she added.
